Surfrider Foundation South Texas Chapter established August 9, 2005

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. The Surfrider Foundation is represented by 50,000 members and 60 national chapters along with international affiliates in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France and Japan. Surfrider advocates water testing to protect the health of swimmers and wildlife in and around our waters, the protection of special places, public beach access and natural beach preservation.
